Lucian B. Fant is my great grandfather.
In the 1850 Grant county census I believe
he is listed as Lucion B Trant. He was
killed by Union soldiers on his farm in
1864. Wife was Martha Furginson. Would
like to find a link. I have two cousins
that have visited Fantstown and have sent
me pictures.

James Smith. Gustavus Hardin Fant was her
father; his was Fielding Fant; his father

to Catherine Stewart. Want to know more of my
Fant ancestors. I heard they were French(?)

Bruce and Stephen, we're related. I am
descended from the Virginian, William Fant
b. 1703 and Catherine Reddish.(I won't
include David as there's no proof of
relation) Wm. is my 6th great grandfather.
Samuel is my 5th followed by Rev. Abner E.
as my 4th, William M. as my 3rd, John
Franklin as my 2nd, Sarah E. Fant Holdbrooks
as my great grandmother, and Vera Holdbrooks
Plunkett as my grandmother. I look exactly
like my father who looked exactly like his
mother (Vera) who looked exactly like her
mother (Sarah Fant) who also looked exactly
like her father John Franklin. My youngest
daughter's resemblance isn't quite identical
as I see a lot of her father in her but she
looks so much like my grandmother when she
was young, facial expressions and all, they
could have been sisters. My line of Fant's
has very strong genes and I can't help but
wonder if anyone else's Fant DNA is like
this. It's uncanny the resemblance between
us all and that it stretches back so many
generations continuously. If only there were
pictures or paintings of my 3rd great
grandfather and older for comparison.
